PG Tips!!!! Ah, you are the daughter of a Brit. My step mother-in-law is from Britain and she drinks PG Tips. It's the best and every now and again I get a craving for it. We're Tetley drinkers in this house for everyday. But when we stay with her we soak up the PG Tips. Great taste, Bev!

I feel for you. The ugly truth no one wants to tell you is, babies just don't sleep through the night. Or if they do, it's only for a few days/weeks/months at a time before they start waking at night again. We even have done "sleep training" a few times and it would always work... until the next time we traveled, or he got another tooth, etc. He's now 15 months old and is sleeping 7pm til 6am MOST nights...

So whenever she does start sleeping better again, cherish it while it lasts! She's such a cutie, btw. =)

Sounds like the 4 month wakeful period! She may not sleep through the night again for awhile (like until 9-12 months), but it will get better. Remember that she's constantly learning something new. Kids tend to lose sleep when they're practicing new things (even if the new things seem small, like making spit bubbles). Try not to worry. While it's nice to get all that uninterrupted sleep, it's 100% normal for a baby to not STTN (most do not STTN until 9-12 months, and many don't until later).

My daughter (who is 6 months old now) began sleeping through the night early on at 9 weeks. Around 4 months babies begin to be really aware of their surroundings and, when they wake up during the night as we all do, if things are not just as they were when fell asleep, may become confused and agitated. This is what happened with my daughter. I recommend reading up on infant sleep as you may eventually have to do some sleep training! Does she spit out her pacifier or do you rock her to sleep and then stick her in her crib? (Both things we did with our daughter.) Although I was skeptical at first, we ended up using the Ferber method (which is NOT just crying it out) and it has worked for us. I think the biggest gift is allowing your child to learn how to fall asleep on his or her own. Good luck!
